Job Description

  • Supervise staff, perform planning and completion procedures while assisting the partners in the completion of audits
  • Assist in the completion of audits by performing complex and other workpaper sections as needed
  • Assist in the completion of audits by performing initial detailed workpaper review
  • Assist in the completion and supervision of reviews and compilations for financial statements
  • Assist in the completion and initial detailed review of tax returns for individual, partnerships, corporations and non-profit entities
  • Interact with clients in a professional manner.  Be the lead and primary contact with clients in coordinating communications for audits, reviews, compilations and tax returns
  • Be the leader of team engagements.  Be able to provide constructive feedback to staff and assist in their development
  • Have the ability to handle a large workload, prioritize and be accountable for work performed
  • Work in a paperless computer environment and have knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Work in a team environment and maintain a fun positive attitude

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates should have a college degree in accounting or equivalent field
  • Qualified candidates should have a CPA license, or be close to certification (completion of CPA exams and pending license is preferred)
  • Qualified candidates should have at least 1-2 years or prior public accounting experience
  • Qualified candidates should have a strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and/or tax law
  • Qualified candidates should be considered a team player, pleasant to work with, and willing to work OT when needed
  • Qualified candidates should also be willing to travel (travel is expected to be no more than 4-5 weeks a year)
